Tomass was a professional sportsman all his life.

He started taking paddling seriously in 2002. And since then probably one of the best kayakers in his country. Tomass is champion of Latvia in paddling inflatable kayaks (2004). Also he holds title of champion of Latvia for waterfalling.

He paddled class 5 in such destinations as Altay, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Djungaria, Tyan-Shan, Norway, Kuznecki Alatau. Though, his true love is Altai mountains. Every season since 2004 he spent all the season paddling most difficult Siberian rivers, Altai region mostly.

No matter Tomass is the first Latvian kayaker to bomb all the famous Altai class 5 rivers, most people of his nation know him due to his outstanding volleyball carrier. From 1999 to 2005 he was in Latvia national volleyball team. Also he holds number of achievements in beach volleyball:

  • Laureate of sports in Latvia(1999)
  • Champion of Latvia multiple times
  • Vice champion of all Baltic countries (2002г)
  • 5th in European union (1999,2002)
  • 9th in worlds championship(2002)
  • 9th in tournaments of Challenger class(2002,2003)

Besides that Tomass is capable of two dangerous things. Firstly, he never has hangovers and for that reason can probably drink more then any other human on this planet. Second, when he's drunk, he's a good guitar player and singer of traditional Russian touristic songs. Knows plenty of them.

He's a silent, yet reliable performer when things come to paddling. Kayaking is one of the most important things in his life.
