If you know thing or two about adventure and extreme sports, let your knowledge be useful for others and share it here.
ExtremeWiki is a place where sports enthusiasts, event organizers, teams, companies, etc. can write articles like:

  • Basics (Info about the sports)
  • News
  • Location info
  • Company/Team/Club/Event info
  • Person profiles (goal is to create worlds largest online database of extreme sports athletes in all levels)
  • How-to info/tips

ExtremeWiki is not trying to compete with Wikipedia, we are more like an extension to it as people want to learn things more on detail. You probably know, Wikipedia is a encyclopedia and therefore every bit of information should be verifiable and Wikipedia is not a place for how-to articles, videos, news or very local stuff that is not interesting to broader audience.

We take all the good content from Wikipedia and extend it with Google Maps, Youtube videos and most imporantly with your knowledge. Copy-pasting from Wikipedia is completely legal as all the content in the Wikipedia, as well as in ExtremeWiki is written under the GNU Free Documentation License.
This GNU FDL means that anyone can copy, modify, redistribute (commercially and non-commercially) all the content that is created under this license.
